... we've made some changes to CareerHub!
Brand New Look
CareerHub has been revamped with a cleaner, more user-friendly interface! Not only does CareerHub now look modern, but its usability has also improved: CareerHub is now device-friendly! Give it a go - log on to CareerHub via your mobile phone or tablet. The developers have ensured our careers website can now be effectively viewed on devices!
Notifications
Let us introduce you to a new feature: notifications. When we want to alert you to any major events (i.e. employer on campus), fantastic opportunities (i.e. scholarships or not-to-be-missed job opportunities) or urgent news items, we will send out a message! These notifications are displayed as a coloured message at the top of the page under the search bar and will also pop up as an alert in the task bar (new alerts will show up as a number).
Dashboard
This area is a fantastic new development that has been introduced to CareerHub. You can access your Dashboard through the toolbar. Through Dashboard, you are able to consolidate all your event bookings, bookmarks and employers that you have followed.
Event bookings - this is an old feature that occurs only for limited capacity events. Keep an eye out for events that require bookings!
Bookmarking - you can now bookmark jobs, news items and resources! Bookmarking allows you to save an item in your Dashboard. This is a great way to save any articles or jobs you find interesting so you can return to this space to review/reference them at a later time.
Follow an Employer - employers are always advertising new job opportunities and now you can Follow an employer to receive alerts when they post new jobs! You can review all the employers you are following on your Dashboard.
Resources
Like all aspects of CareerHub, the Resources section has received a makeover. A search bar has been introduced to Resources allowing you to tailor your search: if you are looking for fact sheets or advice on resumes, just search 'resume'. To accompany this brand new CareerHub, our Careers Advisor has been working on some essential fact sheets for job searching, all of which have now been uploaded to our Resources section.
