The Mentoring Program is designed to support students' formal academic training by providing a link to their profession in a structured and tailored way, whilst bringing exposure to the practical realities of working int he Hospitality, Tourism, Events and Culinary industries.
During the 8 month program timeframe, students will have regular contact with their mentor, providing the opportunity to:
- Increase industry understanding
- Develop and build professional networks
- Identify interests and skills and match them to appropriate careers
- Broaden knowledge of the career options open to students
- Gain job hunting advice, techniques and career guidance from a mentor with professional experience in a relevant field
- Enhance students’ communication and interpersonal skills to ensure “job readiness” that future employers look for in candidates.
This program is open to Higher Education Students who have completed their first year of study in one of our Degree Programs.
